Please find below the full article as published by the West Midlands Air Ambulance. PRESS RELEASE A Cannock power systems company is helping Midlands Air Ambulance by replacing a generator unit to power facilities at the Staffordshire helicopter base.
Speaking about the installation of the new equipment, Kentec Generators sales manager Andy Martin said: "The temporary hanger housing the helicopter is in need of a regular portable power suppy. Instead of donating money to charity, we thought it would be a fantastic idea to replace an old generator with a new portable power supply unit to enable the facility to function more effectively and also show our appreciation for the work of the flight crews at the same time. Ian Jones, flight paramedic fo Midlands Air Ambulance said: "Midlands Air Ambulance is extremely grateful to Kentec Generators for their generous support and help with the installation of the portable generator equipment at our Staffordshire base." Midlands Air Ambulance operates across the Midlands and the Welsh border region and receives no government or lottery funding. The charity requires £5.6 million each year to ensure the life saving helicopter service continues to fly across the region. |
